Blowing Kisses
The beautiful snow-white beluga whale casts an almost hypnotic view as they swim gracefully through the ocean. Blowing bubble rings through their specially shaped mouths, these rings are often heart-shaped. The calf in this print dances through the water as his father blows him a loving kiss.
Blue Angels
Three angelfish swim gracefully through dazzling ocean currents. There are seventy different species of angelfish and each one is a wonderful treat to experience for snorkelers and divers alike. May angels always be with you.
Damsel’s Delight
A green sea turtle glides effortlessly against the deep cerulean blue sky of the Caribbean. Damselfish (sergeant majors), also known as cleaner fish, shadow her in the hopes of snagging tiny morsels of food from off her shell as she swims.
Crystal River of Gold
Inspired by a swimming adventure with manatees at Crystal River, Florida, this painting shows these beautiful creatures' friendly nature. The manatees would swim right up to us, look us in the face, and then roll over so we could rub their bellies. The babies wrapped their arms around us as if they didn't want us to leave. Swimming with manatees should be on your bucket list!
Diamonds in the Rough
This painting depicts a young green sea turtle that I saw when visiting a turtle farm in Jamaica. I had the opportunity to hold this turtle, whose shell was about 8 or 9 inches in width. The turtle felt just like a child’s wind-up toy made of latex rubber, and it never stopped flapping its front flippers. In the original painting, the turtle was painted at this size.
Exotic Salad at Crystal River
Manatees have insatiable appetites. They are constantly eating aquatic plants. One of their favorites is water hyacinth, an invasive plant species that the state of Florida would love to eliminate.
Happiness is the Way
Bottlenose dolphins swim through air-laced surf. As these magnificent animals twist, turn, and dart under the waves, it’s hard not to feel the joy that seems to resonate with them. Maybe these brilliant animals know themselves better than we do ourselves. There is no way to happiness, but happiness is the way.

Mother’s Watchful Eye
A mother humpback whale keeps a close eye on her young calf. Vulnerable to large predators including sharks and killer whales, the mother is usually successful at staying between danger and her young.
Night Swimming
Looking more like flying saucers in outer space, these two manta rays with their cephalic fins unrolled in feeding position, patrol for plankton sparkling in the moonlit sea. Manta rays are known to have the largest brains of all fish.
Octo Odyssey
The giant Pacific Ocean Octopus is one of the most unique creatures on earth. Some people claim they must be aliens. Considering that they have three hearts, blue blood, no bones, and can change the color and texture of their skin, it’s not hard to understand why.
The name “Octopus” is derived from the Latin word “octo,” which means “eight.” In the Bible, the symbolic meaning of the number eight is a new beginning. “Odyssey” is thought of as a journey like that of Odysseus in Homer’s epic poem. Thus, the meaning of this painting is “Beginning a New Journey.”
Infinite Deep
The giant Pacific Ocean Octopus can change colors when excited, as shown in this image. It is also considered the most intelligent invertebrate. They can solve simple puzzles, open childproof bottles, and use tools. They are even known to open tank valves, disassemble expensive equipment, and generally wreak havoc in labs and aquaria.
Sun Turtle
A green sea turtle glides effortlessly underwater. Above, the sun pierces the emerald ocean water and creates a glow like that of a brightly lit afternoon sky. “Sun Turtle” reminds us of those pictures we drew as kids with a big yellow sun hanging in the sky.
The Groupies
This green sea turtle is attracting a crowd of its fans (raccoon butterflyfish). It’s not because of its famous appearance in Nemo but because they are eager to clean parasites off the turtle’s shell. Sort of a traveling buffet.
The Mating Game
Two green sea turtles frolic and play the turtle way. Despite the female laying up to 200 eggs at a time, it’s an endangered species due to its great number of predators. These include sharks and humans. The inspiration for this painting really came from the swirling pattern of seagrasses I spotted biking over the 7-mile bridge en route to Key West Florida.
Up for Air
Two green sea turtles head back to the surface to fill up on air. The green sea turtle is found in warm tropical waters. It is herbivorous, eating algae and seagrasses.
When You’re Smiling
Visitors to my gallery often ask me where I encountered the mermaid? I play along and tell them I saw her while snorkeling in the Bahamas. I tried to catch up to her, I say, but the pesky dolphins kept getting in the way.
